A light earthquake measuring 4.4 magnitude was felt in Jashore, Khulna and West Bengal Thursday afternoon.

Before quake, google operating system reportedly sent an alert to the android phones.

The epicenter of the earthquake was Chougacha under Jashore. 

Sources said the tremor was felt in Jashore, Khulna and Jhenaidah at 5:29pm.

Jashore Met office said they received the alert.
