A fire broke out at a jute godown of Kumudini in Narayanganj around 11:30 am on Saturday.

On receiving the information, several units of the fire service brought the fire under control in an hour's effort.

Initially, the cause of the fire, which originated at Godown No. 6 inside Kumudini, could not be ascertained.

Abdullah Al Arefin, Deputy Assistant Director of Narayanganj Fire Service, said that we came quickly and brought it under control after receiving the news. Some jute is burnt. Sources and damages are not known yet, he added.
