BNP’s future plan ruined for accepting Dr Kamal as leader: Mosharraf

BNP standing committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said their party’s future plan was ruined due to accepting GonoForum president Dr Kamal Hossain as leader of their alliance.

“We made Dr Kamal Hossain as our leader. But after making him leader he refused to contest in polls in 2018. Our future plan and formula were ruined as he didn’t contest in polls. That’s why, the fascist Awami League gave us only 5/6 parliamentary seats in the polls,” he said.

The BNP leader came up with the statement while speaking at a roundtable titled ‘Why government wants to hold polls in EVM? The programme was arranged by Bangladesh Youth Forum at the Jatiya Press Club in the capital on Wednesday.

“From the bitter experience, BNP now wants to talk with political parties to clarify something as no disaster like the past comes again for the Bangladesh. To things end, we are now discussing with opposition political parties. We want to enrich our plan taking their opinion,” he added.

Khandaker Mosharraf saif after discussion they can take decision whether they will form a common platform or go for simultaneous movement.

Mentioning that they will not join the next parliament election under the current Awami League government, he said this government will not be allowed to hold the polls in 2023 under its supervision.
