A total of Tk 3,34,07700 tolls were collected from 43,595 transports on Bangabandhu Bridge in the last 24 hours.

Of them, 25,113 vehicles were Dhaka bound from northern-region paying  Tk 1,73,89,900 tolls. In addition, norther region-bound 18,482 vehicles from Dhaka paid Tk 1,60,17,800 tolls.

The tolls were estimated from 6am on Thursday to 6am on Friday.

Ahsan Masud Bappi, Executive Engineer of Bangabandhu Bridge Site Office of Bangladesh Bridge Authority, confirmed the information.

Apart from truck, pick-up, private car, microbus, and motorcycle, many passengers bus crossed the bridge.

There was rush of vehicles including personal cars, microbuses and motorcycles of Eid holidaymakers.
