Expressing grave concern over series of attacks on teachers in Bangladesh, the UN Children Agency, UNICEF, has called for ensuring safety of teachers in the country.
“UNICEF is deeply concerned about the recent series of attacks on teachers in Bangladesh. UNICEF stands with the country in condemning these attacks, and we call for the safety and security of teachers to be upheld,” said UNICEF Representative in Bangladesh, Sheldon Yett, in a press statement on Wednesday.
It may be mentioned that UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, to build a better world for everyone.
