Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) External Affairs Director Anusha Chowdhury has been honoured with prestigious ‘Diana Award’ of United Kingdom for contributing to the field of mental health.
Anusha, co-founder of Let's Talk Mental Health (LTMH), received the ‘Diana Award’ founded on Princess of Wales’ at a ceremony held virtually on Friday, said a news release on Saturday.
The LTMH is a platform works to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental issues by raising awareness through art.
CUB authorities appreciated the international achievement of Anusha. CUB Vice Chancellor Prof Jahirul Haque was present, among others, on the occasion.
Regarding the award, Anusha Chowdhury said that upholding Bangladesh at international level is a matter of pride for her.
She expressed gratitude to the CUB authorities for continuing support to social activities apart from academic curriculum.
To be eligible for the Diana Award, nominees must be aged between 9 and 25, and have to be carrying out humanitarian activities for a minimum of 12 months.
