Jatiya Party Chairman and Prime Minister's Special Envoy HM Ershad on Thursday congratulated the governments of Bangladesh and India over exchange of enclaves between the two countries.
In a statement on the eve of the execution of enclave exchange agreement between Bangladesh and India, he expressed 'relief and delight' that the 68-year old enclave problem is being resolved, making the live of about 50,000 people momentous, reports BSS.
Nothing can be more delightful than the enclave people getting civic rights and enjoying sovereignty of the country, Ershad said.
Expressing solidarity with the inhabitants of enclaves, he said they were deprived of education, medicare and other facilities of modern world for long.
Those who are being integrated with the territory of Bangladesh would have to be rehabilitated and provided with all types of facilities, he added.
