The water level of Teesta river is further flowing above danger level due to incessant rain and onrush of hilly water.
The water was flowing at 7cm above the danger level at Dalia point on Wednesday.
Due to rising water level in the river, people of the area are panicked. Most of the houses of the areas were damaged. After decreasing water level, residents of the areas were repairing their houses. “If again water increases, people will become destitute, said Rahmat Ali, a resident of Baish Pukur area.
The water level of the river was flowing at 31 cm above danger level which is the highest level in this season on June 21.
