A fire broke out at a shoe factory at South Banasree in the city Monday morning.
The fire broke out around 10:45 am, said Md Shahjahan Shikdar, Deputy assistant director (media cell) of Fire Service and Civil Defence.
On information, four units of fire tenders from Khilgaon and Tejgaon fire stations rushed to the spot and are currently trying to bring the blaze under control, he added.
The origin of the fire is yet to be known, he said.
