Khelaghar Krira Chakra, one of the participating clubs in the ongoing 28th Bashundhara Group Pioneer (U-15) Football League 2021-22, faced one year ban from all footballing activities due to playing unregistered players during their match against Tejgaon Industrial Eleven held on June 9.
The Bangladesh Football Federation disciplinary committee gave the verdict on Sunday after investigating the fraud.
Also, the club’s team manager Soyed Hossian Zisan got punished with a cash penalty of Tk 50,000 and three players Md Sizan Ahmed, Md Sagor and Abir Hossain were punished with a cash penalty of Tk 25,000 each.
Apart from it, the three accused players will also face a 6-month ban each.
However, the committee awarded Khelagar’s opponent Tejgaon by a 0-3 goal walkover.
The disciplinary committee also punished KR Boys SC head coach Gazi Selim with a four-match ban and Tk 25,000 due to his behavior during another match between KR Boys and Bangladesh Boys Chattogram held on June 11.
A total of 46 teams – split into five zones including central, east, west, north and south– will participate in the ongoing competition.
