Rail communication on the Dhaka-Sylhet-Chittagong routes has been resumed after two hours of interruption due to the derailment of a train.

The derailed train was salvaged around 3:45 pm Thursday, Akhaura rail junction Deputy Assistant Engineer Enamul Haque said.

Earlier, a container train veered off the track around 1:30 pm leaving the rail communication on the routes suspended for over two hours.
