Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam directed to take measures against price hike of rice during boro season.

Presided over by Sheikh Hasina, the decision came out at a meeting held at PMO office on Monday.

After ending meeting, Cabinet Secretary said, ‘We have discussed mainly price increase of rice at the meeting. Why the price of rice is so high during boro season? We have been asked to take action surveying in the kitchen markets. Why the price of rice will be increased?”

He also said “Where is the traders storing rice? We have Memorandum of Association (MoA)? Is the price included in the Memorandum of Association?
