New FSCD DG Main takes office

Newly-appointed Director General (DG) of Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) Brigadier General Md Main Uddin formally took his office on Wednesday.

The FSCD arranged a farewell and fresher reception for bidding the outgoing DG goodbye and welcoming the newly one at its headquarters in the capital.
 
In his speech, Newly-appointed DG of FSCD Brigadier General Md Main Uddin expressed his deep gratitude to the Prime Minister, Home Ministry and all concerned for appointing him as the Director General of a service-oriented organization like Fire Service and Civil Defence.

He appreciated the work of the outgoing Director General and expressed his determination to take the fire service further along the path shown by him.

During his tenure, he expects the cooperation of officials and employees of all levels of the Fire Service and Civil Defence, including the Ministry.

The outgoing DG of FSCD Brigadier General Md Sazzad Hussain said “Development is an ongoing process. I tried my best to take the fire service forward.”

He hoped that the newly appointed DG would further accelerate the development process by continuing that trend. Md Sazzad Hussain thanked everyone for their cooperation during his tenure and expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Government.

Senior Station Officer Faisalur Rahman, Assistant Director Md Abdul Halim, Deputy Director (Administration & Finance) Ohidul Islam, MD of Welfare Trust Lt Colonel (Retd) SM Zulfiqar Rahman and Director (Training, Planning and Development) Lt Col Md Rezaul Karim also spoke at the programme.

The program was conducted by the Officer-in-charge of Media Cell, Deputy Assistant Director Md Shahjahan Sikder and concluded with a vote of thanks from the Director (Training, Planning and Development) Lt Col Md Rezaul Karim.
