Two people, including a member of the Bangladesh Navy, were killed in separate road accidents in Dhaka on Monday.
Uzir Ahmed, a 72-year-old former businessman, a resident of Kalabagan, was killed after a bus of ‘Savar Paribahan’ run over him in Dhanmondi area of the capital.
Meanwhile, Hossain Mostafa Parag, a member of the Navy's orchestra, was killed after a truck rammed his motorcycle when he was crossing Asad Gate signal in the capital.
Sub-inspector Chayan Saha of Mohammadpur Police Station said his body was later sent to the morgue in Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the truck and its driver.
