Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed was admitted to a hospital in Rangpur after he complained of chest pain on Saturday night.

Nuruzzaman, Member of Parliament from Lalmonirhat-2 constituency, now undergoing treatment at Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the Cardiology Department of Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

He was first taken to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex and later shifted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

Professor Dr Bimal Roy, doctor of the hospital, said that the minister's physical condition is stable and he would be sent to Dhaka today for better treatment.
