Reigning champions Bashundhara Kings maintained their winning streak in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League football, powered by Bashundhara Group, when they narrowly escaped Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra by 3-2 goals at the Bir Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj on Saturday.
Muktijoddha gave a tough fight against their mighty opponents' Kings in the day’s match. Their Burundian midfielder Abdallah Sudi struck a brace in the 16th and 60th minutes to give his side the lead twice.
However, the match between the Kings and Muktijoddha was originally scheduled to be held at the Muktijoddha’s home venue Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj but Bangladesh Football Federation shifted the match to Munshiganj last week considering heavy traffic in Mawa Ferry Ghat.
