Chinese Ambassador Li Jiming visits settlement camps in Cox's Bazar

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming visited settlement camps in Cox's Bazar and held an in-depth exchange of views with the displaced people from Myanmar on Wednesday (April 27), confirmed  Embassy of China in Bangladesh on its official page.  

Mr. Wang Zhihong, Political Counselor of the Embassy of China and Mr. Shamsud Douza Nayan, Additional RRRC, among others, were with Ambassador Li during the visit.

The Chinese Ambassador visited 10 households of the displaced people in the camps, and tried to know about their living conditions and major concerns.

China has been making efforts to improve the conditions in the camps. In the future, China will continue serving as a bridge of communication between Bangladesh and Myanmar, and play a positive role in facilitating early repatriation, Ambassador Li Jiming said.

The Chinese envoy also visited two repatriation centers and one learning center in the camp area.
