The custom officials recovered 46 gold bars, weighing 5.359kg, at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Wednesday morning.

The gold bars were recovered from a garbage basket of toilet at the airport at around 8:50am on Tuesday, airport sources said.

The value of the seized gold is approximately Tk3.75 crore.

Legal action is being taken in this regard, officials said.
