The government has been advised to require incoming travellers to show Covid-19 vaccination and negative certificates.
In this regard, National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19 has issued six recommendations, including screening at the entrances of all ports of the country.
According to the release, the six recommendations were adopted in the 57th meeting of the National Advisory Technical Committee on Covuid-19.
In the recommendations, the committee stated that Covid-19 infection rate in the country is low, but the rate is high in neighbouring countries of Asia and Europe.
The committee apprehends that the infection rate may rise in Bangladesh if it is not possible to take steps from now.
To check the infection everywhere in the country, ensuing cent percent mask wearing and maintaining social distance have been advised.
The committee has recommended for enhancing publicity for creating awareness.
Besides, the committee has emphasised on encouraging people through Islamic Foundation in following health regulations during the Traweeh Namaz (prayer) and Eid Jamaat (congregation).
