Department of Marketing at Jaggannath University hosted an Iftar mahfil as get together of alumni of the business school.

The Iftar mahfil was held at the department premises of the university on Friday, said a news release.
Prof Dr Imranul Haque presided over the session while Prof Zahir Uddin Arif and Associate Professor Mahathy Hasan Jewel were also present on the occasion

The alumni discussed the formation of the Alumni Association to build a bridge between the alumni and current students of the department and urged for its speedy implementation.

Faraz Hossain Rumman, a former student of the second batch of the department, said the initiative to form alumni of the marketing department of our university was taken much earlier.

“The activities of the alumni formation were delayed due to pandemic situation. However, the alumni continued to provide assistance to the affected poor students with the guidance of the teachers at that time," he said.

The professors of the marketing department praised the proposal for speedy implementation. At the same time, they sought the overall cooperation of the alumni of all batches in this regard.
