Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said some 35,000 babies are born in Rohingya camps every year.
He came up with the information on Sunday after holding the fourth meeting of the national committee on the coordination, management and law and order regarding Rohingya people who were forced to come to Bangladesh from Myanmar.
The home minister said, “Some 35,000 babies are born every year at Rohingya camps. Five years have already passed since the arrival of Rohingya people in the country. As a result, some 1.5 lakh population has increased automatically there. It is a matter of concern to us. So, we are planning for measures in this connection.”
