Three people, including Bangladeshi journalist Zahidur Rahman and engineer Saiful Islam, who went missing in Libya five days ago, have been traced.
Zahidur Rahman, 48, special correspondent of private TV channel NTV of Kushtia, Saiful Islam, a Bangladeshi engineer and their Libyan driver Mohammad Khaled, are currently in the custody of the Libyan police.
“We’re hoping to be able to swiftly communicate with them,” he said.
The native driver, however, was released on Sunday, he added.
Journalist Zahid, also the director of Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar, flew to London on a Turkish Airlines flight on March 3. Later, from there he traveled to Ireland, Scotland and reached Libya on 21 March.
