A children competition on ‘paper plane making’ held in Pirojpur marking the month of independence to explore the origami excellence of children.
Over 200 students from 22 schools participated in the contest at Pirojpur Town Secondary School premises in the district recently, said a news release on Monday.
HDT Chairman Nasir Uddin Howlader, a Bangladeshi Canadian, said the practice of origami helps children remain out of mental stress for making concentration on study.
District Sports Association General Secretary Golam Mawla Naqib was the chief guest while Babui Founder Hasibur Rahman and President Amit Bishwas were present as special guests on the occasion. HDT Director Mehedi Hasan presided over the session.
