Junaid Kamal Ahmad, a Bangladeshi citizen who is presently serving as the country director of World Bank in India, has been appointed as vice president of Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), one of the five organisations under the World Bank Group, says media report on Sunday.
Junaid will serve as the Head of Operations at MIGA from April 16, according to statement issued by the World Bank.
In 1991, he joined the World Bank and started working on infrastructure development in Africa and Eastern Europe.
Since then, he has held different management positions and worked in Africa, the Middle East and North Africa, as well as in India and South Asia.
Also, he served as the Chief of Staff to World Bank Group President.
