Country’s Covid-19 infection rate declining

The infection rate of Coronavirus or Covid-19 infections has started to decline in the country.

Some 2, 584 new infections were detected  after testing samples of 24 hours till Friday morning. The positivity rate was 9.31 percent against the sample tests of one day.  

The positivity rate was 10.24 percent the previous day.

Meanwhile, the country saw 24 Covid-19 deaths on Friday based on the account of  24 hours.

On January 11, some 2,458 infections were detected. On January 12, the positivity rate was recorded at 10 percent. Later, the number of infections registered over 3,000 on January 13. The positivity rate was stood at 33.37 percent on January 28.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed this information in the statement on Friday.

As per the latest information, some 19 lakh 29 thousand 154 infections were registered in the country from Covid-19 infections. And some 28,931 people died after being infected with Covid-19 as of now.
