Woman's throat-slit body found in Narsingdi

Police recovered the throat-slit body of a woman from a rented  house in Satirpara area of Narsingdi district town on Friday evening.

The deceased was identified as  Mansura Akter, wife of Mashiur Rahman Himel, assistant teacher of Satirpara Kalikumar High School, UNB reported.

She was the mother of a 4-year-old daughter.

Saheb Ali Pathan, Additional Superintendent of Narsingdi Police, said Mansura's family members found her throat-slit body in the evening and informed the police.

Later, police recovered the body around 6:30pm and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

The reason behind the killing could not be known immediately, ASP Pathan said.

The real cause for the killing will be known after investigation, the ASP added.
