A fire broke out at a building of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in the capital on Monday evening.

On information, five fire fighting units rushed to the spot, said fire service headquarters senior station officer Shajahan Sikder.

The fire broke out about 6:15pm at the 13th floor of the 17-storied building at BSMMU, said the fire service official.

The cause behind the fire could not be known immediately and patients were shifted to an another place safely, he added.
