Three people, who sustained injuries along with 40 others in a helium cylinder blast in Cumilla's Nangalkot upazila, are being taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Friday.

Dr Mohammad Shefayet Ullah, in-charge of the casualty department at Cumilla Medical College Hospital, said the critically injured balloon sellers—Anwar, 35, Abdur Rob, 26, and Shah Alam, 55—were referred to DMCH for better treatment.

At present, about 16 injured, mostly children are being treated at CMCH, he said.

Around 40, including 35 children sustained injuries when a helium cylinder, used to pump gas into balloons, exploded in Cumilla's Nangalkot on Thursday afternoon.
