Two people were killed and four others injured after a truck rammed an CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria on Thursday morning.

One of the deceased was identified as the rickshaw driver Kawser Miah, 35, of Muradnagar upazila of Cumilla.

The Cumilla-bound truck rammed the Brahmanbaria-bound rickshaw carrying the victims on Cumilla Sylhet highway at 8:00am, leaving the duo dead on the spot and four other passengers injured, Md Shahjalal Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Brahmanbaria Khantihata Highway Police Station, said.

Later, locals took the injured to Brahmanbaria General Hospital, he said.
