Ten more Omicron cases have been detected in Bangladesh, say media reports. 

The total number of confirmed cases of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 has risen to 20. All are from Dhaka city.

German-based global database GISAID published the information on the new Omicron cases on Thursday evening.

Of the new cases, seven are female while three are male. They were between the ages of 18 to 65.

The samples were collected from the patients between December 14 to January 3—including five in the past seven days till December 30.
