Korean Ambassador Ambassador Lee Jang-Keun and Yoo Yong-oh, the President of the Korean Community Association visited the institute and handed over the items.

It was a part of the efforts of the Korean community and the Embassy to share solidarity and friendship with the Bangladesh local community, said a press release of the Embassy.

This was the second visit of the Korean community in Dhaka to the Sarkari Shishu Paribar.

In December 2020 Ambassador Lee, along with Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Korean Community Association in Bangladesh donated school supplies and COVID-19 preventive items to the institute.

During the event, Ambassador Lee expressed his hope for the happiness and health of the children and teachers, especially during the pandemic. During the visit, the girls of the institute showed their talents with Bangla singing, dancing and poet reading as well as K-pop performances.

The Embassy in collaboration with the Korean community plans to have various programs for engaging with the local community which would be essential elements of deepening of bilateral ties between the Republic of Korea and Bangladesh.
