Bangladesh premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has become the quickest to complete the double of 4000 runs and 200 wickets in the Test cricket during the second and final Test against Pakistan at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in the capital on Wednesday.

The 34-year-old cricketer achieved the feat in 59 Test matches, eclipsing many legendary all-rounders like English all-rounder Ian Botham (69), Garfield Sobers (80), Kapil Dev (97), and many more.

Shakib was just 67 runs shy before the Test to reach the landmark. He scored the team’s highest 33 runs in the first innings while he touched the milestone in the second innings.

Shakib is still batting on 57 on the final day of the Dhaka Test as Bangladesh are facing an uphill task to save the Test.

Till the report, Bangladesh managed 192 for 6 in their second innings, still needing 21 runs to surpass Pakistan’s first innings total.
