India, Bangladesh share common history, language and culture,  reiterates Doraiswami

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram K Doraiswami has reiterated that the two countries share common bonds of history, language and culture that was forged in the Liberation War of Bangladesh. 

He made the remark in a seminar on “Buddhism & Buddhist heritage of India and Bangladesh ” organised by BBKPS & Indian High Commission in Dhaka on Saturday in run up to Maitri Diwas.

In the seminar, Vikram K Doraiswami highlighted how Buddhism and its teachings forms a part of the rich tradition and shared cultural heritage of India and Bangladesh.

The occasion was graced by State Minister for Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haque Khan, MP Saber Hossain Chowdhury and Awami League (AL) Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua, among others.
