FM inaugurates art camp on the eve of World Peace Conference

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen inaugurated an art camp at the Foreign Service Academy premises in the capital on Saturday morning on the occasion of World Peace Conference which is scheduled to begin this afternoon.

Children with special needs from Proyash School participate in the art camp.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam, MP, Foreign Secretary (Senior Secretary), Ambassador Masud Bin Momen, officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Service Academy were present at the inauguration ceremony.

Meanwhile, the minister also delivered welcome speech at Panel Discussion-1 held at Foreign Service Academy Auditorium, Dhaka this morning on the occasion of World Peace Conference.

A two-day World Peace Conference-2021 will begin today in Dhaka marking the ongoing birth centenary celebrations of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as part of advancing peace through social inclusion.

President Abdul Hamid will inaugurate the conference this afternoon, which is expected to bring together global thinkers, writers, poets, singers and political personalities to promote a culture of peace and tolerance.

The conference will look back on Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's vision and political struggle for peace.
