Chargé d' Affaires of UAE Embassy in Dhaka Abdulla Ali AlHmoudi has said the relationship between Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates and people in recent years has now expanded in various areas beyond the political, economic and defence partnership.
Addressing a reception on the occasion of the 50th National Day of UAE, he hoped that the existing excellent relations between the two countries would be further expanded in-depth and dimension in upcoming days.
A number of dignitaries and friends of UAE including the Chief guest, Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, Minister for Agriculture, Bangladesh, have joined in celebration held virtually on Wednesday.
Ambassadors, Heads of diplomatic Missions, Ministers, Members of Parliament, High government officials, businesspersons, media personalities, and personalities from academic and social institutions also attended the ceremony.
The Chargé d' Affaires of UAE Embassy in his remarks, said this year both UAE and Bangladesh are celebrating Golden Jubilee of our establishment.
In his welcome speech, Abdulla Ali AlHmoudi mentioned UAE’s remarkable achievements of the UAE over the past 50 years and also highlighted the glorious journey of UAE ties almost five decades of Bangladesh.
He said one of the most significant indicators of the success of the UAE diplomacy is the strength of the UAE passport achieved in 2021the first rank in the world according to the World Passport Index.
On this historic occasion, he said the world’s greatest show ongoing Expo 2020 Dubai showcases human achievements in many fields, with the participation of more than 192 countries, companies, organizations and educational institutions.

As a chief guest of this programme, Agriculture Minister Muhammad Abdur Razzaque said Bangladesh and the UAE share common goals based on religious and cultural values and both countries have excellent relations, as evidenced by recent high-level bilateral visits.
‘Recalling Bangladesh and the UAE's founding fathers, he said the solid foundation between our bilateral relations was laid by our founding fathers and we are expecting more reciprocal deeper engagement in the broader areas, he added.
