NTAC recommends for not allowing travellers from Omicron-infected countries

The National Technical Advisory Committee (NTAC) on Covid-19 has recommended for not allowing travellers from the countries, where new coronavirus variant 'Omicron' has been detected.

The committee in a meeting on Sunday made some recommendations as countries across the globe have begun pulling down the shutters to check the spread of new Omicron variant.

Travellers having record of touring of the countries where new Covid-19 variant ‘Omicron’  has been detected will have to stay in a 14-day institutional quarantine upon arrival in Bangladesh. They must be isolated if test positive for Covid-19, the NTAC said.
