Three passengers of an auto-van were killed as an unidentified vehicle hit the van at Taraganj in Rangpur. The dead included two women and a man.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The accident took place in front of Taraganj Cold-storage around 7:30 pm on Saturday.

Taraganj Highway Police OC Nur Un Nabi Pradhan said three people were killed on the spot when an unidentified vehicle hit the auto-van.

The bodies were recovered and placed in front of the Upazila Health Center, the OC added.
