One killed in post-election violence in Bhola

A man named Khorshed Alam Titu, 35, was shot dead in a post-election violence between the two sides at Madanpur in Daulatkhan of Bhola district.

The deceased was identified as Khorshed Alam, son of late Tashir Ahmed of Kanainagar village under Dhania union of Bhola Sadar.

The clash took place on Friday (November 26) afternoon between independent chairman candidate Jamal Uddin Socket and incumbent chairman Nasir Uddin Nannu at Nasir Majhi area in the Meghna River of Bhola Sadar.

Bhola Sadar Model Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Enayet Hossain confirmed the information and said that one person died at the hospital after being shot.

A pent-up situation was prevailing in the area following the death and clash between the two groups.
