DSCC driver arrested over Notre Dame College student's death

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested Harun Mia alias Kailla Harun, 38, the main driver of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) garbage vehicle, which was allegedly involved in the death of Notre Dame College student Naeem Hasan.
Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of the RAB's legal and media wing, confirmed the arrest to media at noon on Friday (November 26).
A team of the law enforcement agency detained Harun from Jatrabari area on early Friday, he said.
According to RAB, Harun has been driving that truck since 2020. During the accident, his assistant Rasel was driving the vehicle in his absence.
However, neither Harun nor Rasel has a driving license for operating heavy vehicles.
