Medical teams to visit schools, inoculate students: Health Minister

From now on, medical teams will visit schools and inoculate students to build shield against Covid-19, Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said on Thursday.

The minister came up with the decision at a meeting of Drug Administration Department at Mohakhali in the capital.

Drug Administration Department organised this meeting on the occasion of Antibiotic Awareness Week-2021.

The minister inaugurated the online drug licence on the occasion.

“Children are being vaccinated at the centre of 18 to 20 schools in the capital.  There are five schools under each centre. Problem with registration is being caused due to huge number of students. As a result,  we have decided to inoculate students in their own schools, the minister added.

Students in 23 districts are being administered Pfizer vaccine, right now.
