HSIA to suspend flight ops 8hrs daily for 3 months

Flight operation at the country's main aviation hub Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka will remain suspended from 12am to 8am daily from December 10 and this situation will continue for three months.

"From  December 10, 2021 to March 11, 2022 between 0000 hrs and 0800 hrs local time, HSIA Runway will not be available for (aircraft) take-off and landing due to construction work of new connecting High Speed Taxi way," HSIA Executive Director Group Captain AHM Touhid-ul Ahsan told media on Wednesday.   

According to the Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh, aircraft will have to use Sylhet International Airport in case of emergency landing within that time.
