Walton-DRU six-a-side media cricket tournament is set to be kicked off at the outer ground of Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital on Wednesday.

On Tuesday (November 9, 2021), the announcement came at a press briefing held at the Dhaka Reporters Unity's Sagar-Runi Auditorium in the city. A ceremony of jersey unveiling and draw was also held at that time.

Speaking at the press briefing, DRU President Mursalin Nomani said Walton has always been with DRU in a very cordial and friendly manner. So we should encourage them more and more in this way.

Rabiul Islam Milton, Sr. Deputy Operative Director of Walton, said that reporters always support us in many ways. We are also with the games and sports for long. We are happy with arranging this tournament. We hope that this tournament will be ended with a festive mood.

A total of 52 teams are going to participate in this year's tournament. These teams are divided into eight groups.

DRU General Secretary Moshiur Rahman Khan, Joint-General Secretary Arafar Baria and Sports Secretary Maksuda Lisa were also present, among others, on the occasion.
