Popular News

The families of the Armed Force members allegedly killed, jailed and terminated by Ziaur Rahman on October 2, 1977 demanded his posthumous trial for the crimes.

They made the demand at a protest rally at Central Shaheed Minar in the capital on Sunday.

They said that Zia killed more than 1,156 armed forces in the name of preventing so-called mutiny.

They urged the government to declare members of the armed forces as innocent since they were persecuted illegally by Ziaur Rahman through a heinous conspiracy.

Calling upon the government to provide salaries, pension and other benefits payable to the victims, the families demanded graves of the victims to be traced and plaques to be installed with their names.
