Jamal and co reached Sri Lanka

Bangladesh national football team – 23 players and 12 officials -- reached Sri Lanka capital Colombo on Friday at 3:30 pm.

The players and officials tested COVID-19 after checking in at Galadari Hotel in Sri Lanka.

Earlier, seven players and five officials- part of Under23 squad- reached Colombo from Uzbekistan on Thursday.

They were also at the same hotel and started their gym session from Friday after testing COVID-19 negative.

The entire team will start their on-field session on Saturday. The practice venue is yet to be announced.

The men in red and green will start their campaign in Four Nation Invitational Tournament, named Prime Minister Rajapaksa Trophy, taking on East African nation Seychelles in the opening match on November 8 at 4:30 pm.

Hosts Sri Lanka will lock horns against Maldives in the day’s other match at 9:30 pm.

The men in red and green will play their other two matches against Maldives and Sri Lanka on November 11 and 14 respectively.

Top two teams will play finals on November 17 at the same venue at 7:30 pm. All matches will take place at Race Course International Stadium.
