A young man who attempted suicide after allegedly stabbing his wife to death in Chattogram succumbed to his injuries at the district hospital on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Ovi Dhar, 28, a resident of Banshkhali upazila.

Sitakunda Police Station's inspector (investigation) Sumon Banik said Ovi died

while undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College and Hospital.

On October 27, Ovi stabbed himself multiple times after allegedly killing his wife. Local residents rushed a seriously injured Ovi to the district hospital.
