Woman held with 2,200 Yaba pills in Rajshahi

Police arrested a woman drug peddler along with 2,200 pieces of Yaba tablets and 200 grams of heroin from Jodgosai Das village in Godagari upazila on Sunday, reports UNB.

 

The arrestee was identified as Nadia Akhter, 23, wife of Kauser Ali, a resident of the village.

 

On secret information, police conducted a raid at Nadia’s house at noon and arrested Nadia but her husband fled away, said S M Farhad Hossain, officer-in-charge of Godagari Police Station.

 

Later they recovered the Yaba tablets and heroin from a plastic bottle which was concealed under soil at the room.

 

Nadia and her husband Kawser Ali had long been involved in drug trading, added the OC.

 

A case was filed in this connection.
