Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi said that the University Grants Commission (UGC) initiative to arrange ‘Mujib 100 Industry Exhibition’ aiming to mark the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Vision 2041 implementation is a time-befitting step.
Tipu Munshi came up with the remarks while addressing a virtual icebreaking session arranged by the UGC on Saturday ahead of the ‘Mujib 100 Industry Exhibition’ to be held in December.
Terming ‘Mujib 100 Industry Exhibition’ will be a timely and fruitful event; he also said “I think this effort will open a lot of opportunities for the country’s industries.”
UGC Chairman Prof Kazi Shahidullah presided over the webinar while its member Prof Md Sazzad Hossain, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Managing Director Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, UGC acting Secretary Ferdous Zaman, Director General and Project Director of SCPA-SDG Project Dr. Mohammad Abdul Latif of Prime Minister Office (PMO), BGMEA Vice-President M Shahidullah Azim and United Power Generation and Distribution company Ltd Managing Director Moinuddin Hasan Rashid, BCCCI Director Nasima Jahan Binti, Walton DG-Tech industries Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Liaquat Ali and Prof Md Sarwar Morshed were also took part at the event.
UGC is going to arrange “International Conference on 4th Industrial Revolution and Beyond – IC4IR 2021” on December 10-11, 2021 marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
To bridge the gap between academia and industry, the “Mujib 100 Industry Exhibition”, will keep at the IC4IR 2021 as co-initiative where more than 100 industries will take part.
Apart from this, the "Mujib 100 Industry Exhibition" will feature workshops on various contemporary issues, roundtable meetings with important person, multiple plenary sessions, idea show-casing and multiple MoUs signing.
