Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Friday that wicket-keeper batsman Nurul Hasan is rested for three days for his abdominal pain.

Nurul, who was playing regularly for Bangladesh in the recent past, was rested against West Indies for the injury that he received a day before their game against England.

Nurul had to leave the nets after being hit by Taskin Ahmed and later did not take part in any other training activities though he made him available against the Englishmen.

However, the team management had to rest him against West Indies after he complained of abdominal pain and discomfort.

“We’ll assess him after three days of complete rest and then we’ll decide about his availability,” BCB chief physician Debashish Chowdhury told The Daily Sun after the game against West Indies.

The Daily Sun understands that Nurul Hasan is unlikely to take part further in the tournament as the team management is not ready to take away the keeping gloves from Liton Das after he made runs against West Indies.
