Bangladesh concede nerve-wrecking defeat to West Indies in T20 WC

Defending champions West Indies beat Bangladesh by three runs in a last-ball thriller to keep their hopes alive in the Twenty20 World Cup with their first win in the Super 12 on Friday.

Bangladesh needed 13 off the final over but fell just short on 139 for five in Sharjah.

Skipper Mahmudullah Riyad was unbeaten on 31.

Earlier Nicholas Pooran hit 40 off 22 deliveries to lift West Indies to 142 for seven.
