The health condition of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has worsened, say media reports.

The BNP chairperson is showing symptoms of a new disease apart from her earlier complications.

In the meantime, Sharmila Rahman, wife of Khaleda Zia’s deceased son Arafat Rahman Coco, arrived in Bangladesh on Sunday to visit Khaleda Zia. After landing in Dhaka, Sharmila reportedly went  to see Khaleda Zia at Evercare Hospital where she (Khaleda) has been undergoing treatment from  October 12.

The BNP chairperson was admitted to the same hospital with corona infection earlier on 27 April. She received treatment there until June 19 for post-Covid-19  complications and some other underlying health problems.

Amid the Covid-19 outbreak, the government freed Khaleda Zia from prison for six months through an executive order suspending her sentences on March 25, last year.
